Beyond-Emerging Generations


Catalyst Church is a unique church that seeks to provoke lasting change by sharing compassion + hope. 



As I have begun to meditate on the year ahead and our Beyond focus, I can’t shake the words ‘first priorities’. Jesus constantly demonstrated that the lost, the poor, the marginalised were always among his first priorities. As we embark on another Beyond Campaign let’s remind ourselves we are at the heart of what we have been called to by Jesus. While we return to the pattern of pledging annually to all our mission areas, this year we are particularly focusing in on young people and the emerging generations, something we also know was a first priority for Jesus. We pray you will be both moved and challenged to make your giving generous and a first priority.


I highly encourage you to prepare your heart for generosity and to also allow yourself to be moved for the calling that God is giving our church, Catalyst Church. 


2 Cor 8:3,4 'For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability...they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord's people.'   


This has always been a generous church, I pray that we respond in a sacrificial and generous manner to the pressing needs at hand as we sow into the now and beyond!

AREAS OF MISSION

  • CHURCH PLANTING

    We believe that Catalyst must move from accumulating members, to sending people. Jesus had a plan for mission; that He would see his Kingdom come -through his church. Catalyst planting churches - that plant churches.

  • CRI NETWORK

    The vision of the CRI Network, is to have excellent quality CRI in every Ipswich state school, every week. With endorsement from the Ipswich + Southern Somerset Ministers Fellowships, + support from individual Christians + many churches, the Network aims to lift the profile of CRI. They empower volunteer CRI teachers by providing free training, necessary resources + support. The CRI network supports over 100 volunteer RI teachers + functions with a small part time staff team led by Suzie Overell. To get involved or find out more, click HERE.

    We dream of a Church campus that...

    Opens countless new opportunities for us to engage with our local community;

    Is the birth place for a multitude of radical disciples who are inspired + equipped to make a difference, Far, Near + Here.


  • SCHOOLs + CHaplaincy

    Catalyst Church has had a long standing relationship with our local high school. One of the ways we continue to partner with the school is through the SU QLD Chaplaincy Service.

  • EMPART

    We partner with EMPART to transform communities in Asia. Empart exists to bring holistic transformation to individuals + communities in Asia. We are part of their work to reach, restore, release + resource indigenous Christian leaders to transform communities among the most needy. Empart's primary goal is to see 100,000 communities transformed in Asia by 2030. Find out more HERE.


  • VITAL Projex

    Vital is Values Integrated Through Action-based Learning. Developed + refined over 25+ years, Vital empowers individuals towards emotional health + wellbeing. Using innovative inter-related models + content, VITAL provides training in the delivery, integration + practical application to bring out the potential of individuals + teams.   • CAP DEBT HELP

    Established in 2013, Catalyst has partnered with CAP (Christians Against Poverty) to establish a Debt Centre for the Ipswich Region. Providing a professional debt management service; releasing people in our local community from debt + poverty through free debt management, training + ongoing support.
