The team at Catalyst Church are dedicated to community growth, inclusion, reducing unemployment and building self-confidence for all. We have a safe space where people in the community can come and feel like they belong, being part of an inclusive group is imperative to build trust, our authentic, non-judgemental team will welcome you to partake in any service or program, on offer. 


Over the past few years Catalyst Church education hub has proudly provided opportunities to the community to develop employability skills, delivering vocational qualifications in programs, providing participants with the opportunity to gain sustainable employment.

Program will create a Chat N Chill hub for youth at risk of disengaging from school, supporting the local community to overcome homework challenges, supporting young people to learn a different way – assisting them to belong and feel safe!

The NEW ‘life and work skills’ program provides participants with real work tasks that improve employment opportunities, while creating a service for the youth and their families in the local community. 

The ‘life and work skills’ program is an engaging, job preparation and employment program that assists disengaged and disadvantaged young people, early school leavers and long-term unemployed people of all ages. No one is too old to improve their confidence and develop their skills!

Participation in the program incorporates working towards a Certificate ll in Skills for work and Vocational Pathways. This will support you to create new goals, into work or further study, assist you make informed choices about your future!

This program is proudly funded by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative. 

You will learn how to:

  • Understand workplace requirements.
  • Advocate for yourself with confidence.
  • Improve written and verbal communication skills.
  • Research opportunities that match your skills and dreams
  • Recognise and utilise diverse perspectives.
  • Plan and organise.
  • Make decisions and act.
  • Identify and solve problems.
  • Create and innovate.

Previous programs – resulted in job and further education for 90% of all participants:

Construction – creating meeting spaces for local business and community to hire, servicing community needs.

Hospitality – launching the Foundry Café a local space to chill and meet people in the community. Hosting and catering local events.

Conservation and eco system management – developing a community garden providing vegetables, herbs and flowers for the community.
