Simple enough for a child to repeat and functional enough so an adult can explain the purpose behind Catalyst Church.
OUR VISION
Jesus demonstrated God’s love as a means of bringing all to salvation. His character and acceptance of the lost communicated the depth of God’s love. Jesus’ love also brought discipline and correction which in turn drew people away from selfishness and back to the heart of God.
Mission
Salvation
Provide opportunities for people to be invited to come to Christ at every service.
Teaching
Providing an environment where the truth of the Word of God can be shared.
Discipleship
Record decisions and activate a LifeTrack to grow disciples of Christ.
Pastoral Care
Provide a network of contacts within the church to demonstrate empathy and support to the church community.
Worship
An authentic expression of our faith and commitment to God through anointed worship that promotes freedom in the Spirit and sets the captives free.
John 13:34
I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I loved you, you must also love one another.
1 John 4:16
And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
Jesus’ lifestyle is the perfect example of grace, mercy and forgiveness that all people are encouraged to follow. His example changed 12 ordinary men through a process of daily discipleship. He also taught us the model and conduct of prayer.
Mission
Serving
The Power of the Towel. Jesus demonstrated that serving was not below Him. Encouraging people to find an area of expression where they can serve God.
Mentoring
Just as Jesus had the 3, the 12 and the 72, we must be willing to develop godly character in men and women through weekly mentoring.
Leadership Development
An intentional pathway to raise up leaders through bi-monthly leaders meetings where key leadership principles will be taught.
Prayer
Reinforcing the importance of the daily discipline of prayer, both individually and corporately. Providing opportunities for people to access prayer meetings on a weekly and monthly basis.
Alpha Courses
The journey of faith is lifelong and starts with the basics. Conduct training courses that expand people’s understanding and knowledge of a Christ-centred life.
Community Engagement
Just as Jesus attended weddings and visited towns and ministered in the streets, Catalyst Church seeks to move beyond our four walls to take the Gospel into our community.
Water Baptism
The initial stage of every person’s faith journey.
Christianity Explained
Another expression of understanding and learning the journey of faith.
Giving
A healthy understanding of financial giving that shows the sacrificial and obedient heart of Jesus.
Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children. And walk in love as the Messiah also loved us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.
John 13:35
By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
Wherever Jesus went, He drew a crowd and made the most of every opportunity to impact others with the power of God. Jesus’ command to fulfil the Great Commission remains our most important priority.
Mission
Care for the Marginalised
Provide care and support for the needy and challenged people in our community. Jesus sought out those with leprosy and often visited the marginalised where they were. He also sat at the table with sinners to lead them to the Father.
Serving
Provide every person an opportunity to contribute and serve the church community through joining “Catalyst Crew”. Providing a source of encouraging posts, updates and forecasts of the happening at Catalyst Church.
Missions
Releasing people with a passion for missions to go and share Christ abroad. This is fulfilling the Great Commission.
1 Peter 2:21
For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example so that you should follow in His footsteps.
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
